Our Origins
Spa Choice® was founded in 2001 by John Smith, a lifelong spa enthusiast who was frustrated by the lack of effective and affordable spa care products on the market. As an engineer, John knew he could create better solutions. He partnered with a leading chemist and set out to develop a line of spa sanitizers and accessories that would set a new standard for quality.
After extensive research and testing, Spa Choice® introduced our first product – Spa Sanitizing Granules. These chlorine granules were engineered to dissolve rapidly and provide a safe, effective level of sanitizing power. We also focused on making the granules easy to handle and store.
The response from spa owners was tremendous. They loved having an economical chlorine option that was made specifically for hot tubs and worked better than standard pool chlorine. Spa Sanitizing Granules quickly became our flagship product.
Growing the Brand
Buoyed by the success of our sanitizing granules, Spa Choice® continued to expand our selection of spa care products. We added bromine tablets, oxidizing shock, clarifiers, enzymes, stain removers, and other specialty chemicals to keep water crystal clear.
We also launched a line of essential spa accessories – from covers and pillows to replacement filters. Our aim was to become a one-stop shop for all regular spa maintenance needs.
Over the years, Spa Choice® has continued to release innovative new products that make spa ownership and care easier. For example, our Fragrance Free Sanitizing Granules allow those with sensitivities to enjoy the benefits of chlorine cleaning without bothersome odors. We’ve also introduced more natural and eco-friendly formulas utilizing the latest technology.
Spa Choice® products are now sold throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Major retailers like Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and Amazon proudly carry our brand. While we’ve grown dramatically, we remain focused on our original mission – delivering the highest quality spa products at an affordable price.
Our Facility
Spa Choice® operates out of a state-of-the-art 60,000 square foot facility located in Southern California. This modern campus includes our corporate offices, product development labs, and manufacturing plant.
Our talented team of chemists is continuously testing new formulas and innovations right on site. We can go from initial concept to ready-for-market in just months. This gives Spa Choice® the ability to quickly respond to consumer needs and trends in the spa industry.
Our manufacturing plant utilizes the latest equipment to produce both liquid and dry spa chemicals. Automated processes ensure precise mixing of ingredients for consistent concentrations in every package. We adhere to strict quality control procedures throughout the production and packaging process.
We manufacture the majority of our products ourselves to better control quality. But we also form strategic partnerships with leading suppliers when it comes to accessories and complimentary items. This hybrid approach allows us to deliver the very best spa products under the Spa Choice® brand.
